Watch band answers
Can a smartwatch need an odd or fractional band width?
Yes. Honor Watch 4 / Watch 5 has a recorded 21.5 mm fitting. Separately, 0 of the 282 standard quick-release records use an odd-numbered width. A fractional model-specific fitting and a standard quick-release width are different categories; neither should be rounded to make a band fit.
What widths are in the standard quick-release group?
| Width | Records | Share |
|---|---|---|
| 18 mm | 39 | 13.8% |
| 20 mm | 96 | 34.0% |
| 22 mm | 134 | 47.5% |
| 24 mm | 11 | 3.9% |
| 26 mm | 2 | 0.7% |
The standard quick-release group in this snapshot uses even whole-millimetre widths. That describes these records, not a universal rule that every watch band must be an even size.
Why the connector matters for a fractional size
| Watch | Band fitting |
|---|---|
| Honor Watch 4 / Watch 5 | Honor 21.5mm |
The 21.5 mm entry does not establish that a generic 21.5 mm spring-bar strap will fit. Choose a band explicitly made for the recorded watch and connector. Do not substitute 22 mm, or squeeze a wider band into place.
What if your measurement falls between sizes?
Check the measurement again across the attachment gap with the measuring tool held square. Then check the exact model’s fitting. Do not automatically round a decimal reading up or down, and do not assume the widest part of the strap is its attachment width.
