20mm Watch Straps — What Fits

20mm is a common middle-ground lug width, used on mid-size smartwatch cases and on countless classic dress and field watches alike. Nine brands in our range use 20mm on at least one model, from Huawei's smaller GT cases to Withings' health trackers, listed by brand below.

The spring bar's built-in lever means each strap lifts off by hand, with no tools or watchmaker needed.

20mm is arguably the single most common lug width across mechanical and quartz watches generally, so these straps fit a huge range of non-smart watches too — just confirm the gap between your lugs measures 20mm before ordering.

If you're not sure your watch is 20mm, check the manufacturer's spec sheet or measure the gap between the lugs with a small ruler. Quick-release straps are labeled by that lug gap rather than the watch's face diameter, so a slim 38mm dress watch and a 46mm sport case can both take the same 20mm strap if the lug gap matches.

Why Some Brands Offer Both 20mm and 22mm

Several of the brands on this page — Amazfit, COROS, Huawei, Polar and TicWatch among them — sell the same watch family in two case sizes, and the smaller case almost always steps down to 20mm while the larger case stays at 22mm. That's why a generation name or family name alone doesn't tell you the width: it's the specific case size, in millimeters, that decides which strap a given watch actually needs, not the marketing name it's sold under.

20mm Straps by Brand

Every brand below has at least one 20mm model.

If your model isn't listed, it may use a different width — see our 22mm and 18mm pages, or browse every quick-release width in one place.

  • Amazfit — GTR 42mm/GTR Mini, GTS/GTS 2/2 Mini/2e/3/4/4 Mini, Bip/Bip Lite/Bip S/Bip U/Bip 3, Cheetah Square/Cheetah 2 Pro, Active/Active 2/Active 3 Premium.
  • Coros — Pace 2/original Pace, Apex 42mm, Apex 2.
  • Fossil — Gen 6 Hybrid/Wellness Edition 45mm.
  • Honor — MagicWatch 2 42mm.
  • Huawei — GT 3 42mm/GT 3 Pro 43mm, GT 2 42mm/original GT 42mm.
  • Polar — Ignite/Ignite 2/Ignite 3, Pacer, Unite.
  • Skagen — Falster Gen 6 41mm, Falster 1, Falster 2.
  • TicWatch — E3, E, GTH/GTH Pro, C2 (Onyx & Platinum).
  • Withings — ScanWatch 42mm/ScanWatch 2 42mm/Horizon 43mm, ScanWatch Nova 42mm, Steel HR 40mm/Steel HR Sport.

Styles for Every Use Case

All six strap styles come in 20mm, and each suits a different part of the day.

Everyday & Active

Vornis silicone sport handles workouts, runs and swims without holding onto sweat, while Mavric braided loop's woven nylon flexes with the wrist for all-day comfort. Rovan magnetic loop is a slim, adjustable alternative that's quick to put on and take off between activities.

Office & Overnight

Solin magnetic milanese's stainless mesh and magnetic clasp suit 20mm cases for the office, while Véllo and Voren nylon loops are soft and lightweight enough to sleep in comfortably for overnight heart-rate and sleep tracking.

How to Swap a 20mm Strap

Push the small lever on the underside of the spring bar toward the center to release the old strap, then slide it out of the lugs.

Press one end of the new bar's spring pin into the lugs and click the other end into place — the swap takes seconds and no tools.

There's no case-back to open and no separate spring-bar tool to buy — the release lever is built into the bar itself, so the same motion works every time you switch styles.

Caring for 20mm Straps

Rinse silicone and nylon styles with water and mild soap, then let them air-dry flat rather than wringing them out.

Wipe magnetic milanese and magnetic loop styles with a dry or barely damp cloth to protect the clasp mechanism.

Letting any style dry fully before storing it also helps avoid the trapped moisture that's the most common cause of a stiff spring-bar lever over time.

Which Watches Don't Fit 20mm

A few models share a name with a 20mm watch but actually use a different width or connector entirely:

  • COROS Pace 2 is 20mm, but Pace 3, Pace Pro and Pace 4 all moved up to 22mm — don't assume the whole Pace line matches.
  • Amazfit's round Cheetah, Cheetah Pro and Cheetah 2 Ultra are 22mm; only the square Cheetah Square and Cheetah 2 Pro use 20mm.
  • Huawei's older GT 3 42mm and GT 2 42mm are 20mm, but the newer small cases — GT 4 41mm, GT 5 41mm, GT 5 Pro 42mm, GT 6 41mm and Watch 5 42mm — moved to 18mm from 2023 onward.
  • TicWatch C2 in Rose Gold is 18mm, while every other C2 color is 20mm.
  • Fossil's Gen 6 Hybrid and Wellness Edition 45mm are 20mm — a different watch from the 22mm touchscreen Gen 6 44mm, despite the shared Gen 6 name.
  • Polar Pacer Pro needs Polar's own wristband adapter and isn't recommended with a standard 20mm strap; the standard Pacer is unaffected.
  • Honor's rectangular Watch 4 and Watch 5 (non-Ultra) use adapter-style attachments rather than standard straps, and the Honor Choice Watch needs a proprietary adapter too — none of these are the same as the round MagicWatch 2 covered here.
  • Withings' width follows case size across the board — 40-43mm cases like ScanWatch 42mm and Horizon 43mm are 20mm, but 38mm-and-under cases such as ScanWatch 38mm, Steel HR 36mm and Move 38mm drop to 18mm, so don't assume every Withings model matches this page.
