Watch band answers
Are QuickFit and quick release the same thing?
No. Among 175 records using either standard quick release or Garmin QuickFit at 22 mm, 134 use standard quick release and 41 use QuickFit (23.4%). The same 22 mm width appears on two different attachment systems, so width alone is not a compatibility check.
Same width, different connection
Garmin QuickFit bands latch around a compatible bar. Standard quick-release bands have a spring bar with a sliding lever. Do not assume a band fits merely because both the watch and band say 22 mm; bar dimensions, attachment design and any required adapter still matter.
| Width | Standard quick release | Garmin QuickFit | QuickFit share |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 mm | 96 | 19 | 16.5% |
| 22 mm | 134 | 41 | 23.4% |
| 26 mm | 2 | 37 | 94.9% |
| Feature | Standard quick release | Garmin QuickFit |
|---|---|---|
| Release mechanism | Small sliding spring-bar lever | Latch under the end of the band |
| Attachment | Spring-bar ends sit in the watch lugs | Band clips around the watch’s bar |
| What to match | Connector and attachment width | QuickFit connector and width |
How often does each fitting appear?
Standard quick release accounts for 282 of 506 fitting records (55.7%). Garmin QuickFit accounts for 97 records (19.2%).
Match the connector, then the width
Start with your exact watch model. Do not choose a band simply because its name contains “quick” or because its width matches. If a fitting uses an adapter, that adapter is part of the compatibility check—not something to assume comes with a band.
