Got a question? We are here to answer
The Polar Ignite, Ignite 2 and Ignite 3 all use the same 20mm quick-release lug width, so a single strap size covers every generation of this watch since it launched in 2019. Whether you're on the original Ignite or the newest Ignite 3, these straps click straight in.
Like the rest of Polar's fitness lineup, the Ignite uses a quick-release spring bar. A small lever on the back of the bar lets you release the old strap and click in a new one without tools.
See the full Polar Watch Straps collection for straps that fit the Vantage, Pacer, Grit X and Unite as well.
A stock strap eventually wears at the spring-bar holes, and third-party straps give Ignite owners more style choice than the handful of options that ship with the watch — useful since the Ignite is often worn around the clock for both workouts and sleep tracking.
The Ignite is Polar's everyday fitness and sleep-tracking watch, so a lot of owners like a strap that's comfortable enough to wear around the clock.
Because the Ignite doubles as a sleep tracker, a lot of owners keep a soft nylon option specifically for bedtime and switch to something sportier during the day.
Flip the watch over and find the spring bar holding the current strap. Press the small lever, slide the strap free, then press the new strap's spring bar into the lugs until both sides click into place.
The whole change takes under a minute and doesn't need any tools, since you're only handling the strap and spring bar rather than the watch case itself.
First-time swaps are easiest with the watch resting face-down on a soft surface. If you're ever unsure which width to order, measure the gap between the lugs on the back of the case rather than guessing.
Silicone and nylon straps can be rinsed under water after a workout or overnight wear, then air-dried before you put the watch back on. Wipe magnetic milanese and magnetic loop straps with a dry cloth rather than soaking them, since water can sit inside the mesh links.
Store any strap you're not wearing flat and out of direct sunlight, since prolonged heat can dry out silicone and dull a milanese finish over time. Rotating between two straps also gives each one time to air out fully between wears.
These 20mm straps are sized for the Ignite family specifically, so double-check your model before ordering if you own more than one Polar watch. A few other Polar watches need a different fit:
