Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Straps — What Fits

The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid and Wellness Edition share a 45mm case and use 20mm quick-release straps. That's a different width from the touchscreen Fossil Gen 6, so it's worth double-checking which 'Gen 6' you actually own before ordering.

Every strap here is a quick-release, spring-bar design: flip the small lever on the back, slide the old strap out of the lugs, and press the new one in until it clicks on both sides. No tools, about 10 seconds per side.

Because Fossil smartwatches use standard lug spacing, these straps also fit classic, non-smart Fossil watches with matching 20mm lugs.

This 45mm case is sold under both the 'Gen 6 Hybrid' and 'Wellness Edition' names depending on the retailer, but the case size and 20mm strap width are the same either way. If your watch has a touchscreen rather than a traditional hybrid dial, you likely have the 44mm or 42mm Gen 6 instead.

Choosing a Style for Your Gen 6 Hybrid

We make Gen 6 Hybrid straps in six quick-release styles, split across three everyday needs.

Vornis silicone sport is built for training and daily workouts — sweat-friendly and quick to rinse clean. Mavric braided loop is a breathable alternative if silicone isn't your thing.

Solin magnetic milanese gives a dressier, mesh-metal look with a magnetic clasp that micro-adjusts to your wrist. Véllo nylon loop is a softer, single-piece option for smart-casual wear.

Rovan magnetic loop is our lightest option for sleep tracking or all-day wear, and Voren nylon loop is a soft, breathable everyday alternative — both come in 20mm for this case. Unlike the smaller Gen 6 42mm, every one of our six styles is currently available in 20mm, so style choice for the Hybrid isn't limited by width.

Sizing & Swapping in Seconds

If you're not sure whether you have the Gen 6 Hybrid or the touchscreen Gen 6, check the case size: 45mm is the Hybrid, covered here. You can also check the underside of your current strap, where Fossil usually stamps the width in millimeters near the buckle.

To swap, find the small pin or lever on the inside of the strap near the case, slide it toward the center to release the spring bar, then press the new strap's spring bar into the same lugs until both sides click. It takes well under a minute and no tools.

Which Watches Don't Fit

This 45mm Gen 6 Hybrid takes 20mm straps. That's different from the touchscreen Fossil Gen 6 44mm, which takes 22mm — same 'Gen 6' name, different watch and width.

It's also different from the touchscreen Gen 6 42mm and the Gen 5E 42mm, both of which take 18mm straps, not 20mm — a common mix-up on general sizing charts, but not the sizing that applies to the Hybrid covered here. If you're unsure which Fossil you own, the safest check is the case size stamped inside the strap or listed in your watch's settings menu, not the marketing name on the box.

Caring for Your Gen 6 Hybrid Strap

Rinse silicone and nylon straps under water after sweaty workouts and let them air dry before wearing again. Wipe the magnetic milanese or magnetic loop styles with a soft, dry cloth instead of submerging them, and keep them away from other magnetic items when off your wrist.
