What size band does the Quatix 7 use?

Will saltwater and sun exposure damage the nylon band?

The nylon weave resists saltwater far better than leather or unsealed metal, but salt crystals still build up in the fibers and UV exposure will fade and stiffen nylon over time. Rinse the band in fresh water after every sail and let it dry out of direct sun to keep it flexible.

How do I change the band on my Quatix 7 without going below deck?

The QuickFit connector releases with a small lever, no tools or spring bar needed, so you can swap it on deck in a few seconds even with wet or salty hands. Press the lever, slide the old band out, and slide the new one in until it clicks.

Does the band connector affect the watch's water rating?

No. The QuickFit connector sits outside the watch case and has no seals of its own to fail, so it does not change the water rating of your Quatix. The watch is rated for swimming on its own regardless of which QuickFit band is attached.

How do I clean salt residue off the band?

Rinse it in fresh water as soon as you can after a sail, working the weave gently with your fingers to flush out any trapped salt, then let it air dry. Salt left to dry in the fibers is what makes nylon go stiff and start to crack faster than normal wear would.
