Got a question? We are here to answer
ScanWatch Nova is Withings' dressier, metal-cased ScanWatch variant, sold in two sizes: the 42mm Nova and the smaller 39mm Nova Brilliant. Both track the same ECG, SpO2 and sleep data as the rest of the ScanWatch range, and both attach their strap with a standard spring bar, so any Withings ScanWatch Nova strap on this page swaps in without tools.
The 42mm Nova takes a 20mm strap, while the 39mm Nova Brilliant takes 18mm. If you're not sure which size you have, check the case diameter listed in the Withings app or on the original box before ordering — Nova and Nova Brilliant are easy to mix up by name alone. For the rest of the Withings lineup, see the Withings Watch Straps hub.
Nova is Withings' most premium-looking ScanWatch case, so a strap that matches that finish tends to suit it better than a sport look. All six styles fit the 20mm Nova case; the 18mm Nova Brilliant case currently has one style available.
The Solin magnetic milanese mesh and the Rovan magnetic loop are the natural match for Nova's metal case and dressier styling, closing with a concealed magnet instead of a buckle. On the 39mm Nova Brilliant, Rovan is the only style currently stocked — which suits the smaller, more formal case well.
On the 42mm Nova, the Mavric braided loop and Vornis silicone sport strap offer a more casual, everyday alternative without clashing with the metal case.
For overnight sleep tracking, the Véllo and Voren nylon loop straps, both 20mm only, are soft and light enough to leave on in bed without noticing the watch is there.
Every strap here uses the same quick-release spring bar as the strap that shipped with your Nova. Press the small lever on the underside of the strap, slide the old one out of the lugs, then slide the new strap's pins in until it clicks into place on both sides — the whole swap takes under a minute with no tools beyond the strap itself.
Match your case size before ordering: 20mm for the 42mm Nova, 18mm for the 39mm Nova Brilliant. A strap cut for the wrong width won't seat properly in the lugs. Browse the full 20mm watch straps or 18mm watch straps ranges for more style options in either width.
Both Nova and Nova Brilliant take a standard quick-release strap in one of the two widths above, so there's no proprietary connector to worry about on this model line.
The trap is width, not compatibility: because Nova and Nova Brilliant share a family name but different case sizes, it's easy to order the wrong one. The 42mm Nova needs 20mm; the 39mm Nova Brilliant needs 18mm, and a strap cut for one will not fit the other. If you also own a ScanWatch or Steel HR, those lines split width the same way but at their own case sizes, so don't assume a strap that fits one model fits another just because the width happens to match.
