Garmin QuickFit 26 Straps — What Fits

QuickFit 26 is the larger of Garmin's two QuickFit clip sizes, built for the biggest Garmin cases. A rotating cam connector clips onto the watch's bar and releases with a flip of a small lever — no spring-bar tool required.

If you're not sure whether your Garmin watch uses QuickFit at all, check the underside of your current strap for a small lever near the case — QuickFit connectors have one built into the strap itself, while standard spring-bar straps hide their lever inside the bar between the lugs instead. Garmin also states the connector type directly in each watch's owner's manual and product spec page, which is worth checking if the strap on your wrist doesn't make it obvious.

• fēnix 51mm and X models (5X, 6X, 7X, 8X) — the largest cases in Garmin's flagship multisport line.
• Tactix, Garmin's military-styled line built on the larger fēnix case.
• Descent Mk dive computers — Garmin's dive-focused watches with surface GPS and dive planning.
• Enduro, built for ultra-endurance athletes, with extended battery life as its main selling point.
• D2 Delta PX aviator watch, the larger-cased version of Garmin's pilot-focused D2 line.

Why Garmin's Biggest Watches Use a Different Size

QuickFit 26 exists because Garmin's largest watches — built for diving, tactical use, ultra-endurance racing and aviation — carry bigger batteries and more sensors, which means bigger cases and a proportionally wider strap. Rather than stretch a single QuickFit size across every case, Garmin split the system in two so the connector geometry matches the case properly at both ends of its range.

QuickFit vs Standard Quick Release

It's easy to assume QuickFit is just Garmin's name for a standard quick-release strap, but the two systems aren't interchangeable.

• Standard quick release: a spring bar with a lever hidden inside the bar; used industry-wide, including on classic mechanical and quartz watches.
• QuickFit: a rotating cam built into the strap itself, with the lever on the strap rather than the bar; unique to Garmin and only found on Garmin's QuickFit-labeled watches.
• A QuickFit-equipped Garmin watch can only take QuickFit straps in the matching size, 22 or 26 — a standard strap anywhere near 26mm will not fit the case's connector, even if the measurement is close.
• Garmin watches without QuickFit take standard spring-bar straps instead, in whatever width that specific model uses.

The QuickFit Strap for This Size: Teral Nylon Loop

Teral nylon loop is available in the 26 size as well as 22, built with the same rotating-cam connector in place of a spring bar. It's a soft, breathable woven nylon loop that works equally well for daily wear, workouts and overnight sleep tracking on the larger Garmin cases this size covers.

It's currently the only QuickFit style we carry, so if you're looking for a silicone sport or magnetic milanese equivalent in QuickFit, that's not yet available — Teral nylon loop is the one option, in both sizes.

Swapping a QuickFit 26 Strap

Flip out the small lever on the underside of the connector to rotate the cam open and lift the strap off the bar. To fit a new strap, hook the open connector onto the bar and rotate the lever closed until it sits flat.

As with QuickFit 22, the single-clip design generally makes size-26 swaps faster than a standard spring-bar strap, since there's no pin to compress into a lug gap.

It's worth practicing the motion once on a watch you're not wearing, since the cam mechanism moves a little differently from a spring bar the first few times you use it.

Caring for the Teral Nylon Loop

Hand-wash with mild soap and water and lay flat to dry. Avoid machine washing or wringing, which can stretch the nylon weave and stress the QuickFit connector over time.

Letting it dry fully before wearing it again also helps avoid trapping moisture against the QuickFit connector's moving parts.

Which Watches Don't Fit QuickFit 26

The larger QuickFit size doesn't cover every big Garmin watch, so check carefully:

• Standard-size fēnix 5/6/7/8 in the 47mm case use QuickFit 22, not QuickFit 26 — see our QuickFit 22 straps page for those.
• Epix, standard Instinct models, the Forerunner 9xx series, Approach S60/S62/S70, D2 (non-Delta PX) and MARQ all use QuickFit 22 as well.
• Garmin watches without QuickFit — most Vívoactive, Vívomove, Venu and older Forerunner models — use standard spring-bar quick release instead; see our quick release watch straps for those.
• Because QuickFit is a proprietary clip rather than a spring bar, classic mechanical or quartz watches don't fit QuickFit 26 straps even if their lug gap happens to measure close to 26mm.
• Older Garmin watches from before QuickFit existed — early fēnix X generations among them — use standard spring-bar straps in whatever width that specific model was built with, not QuickFit at all.
• If your watch's manual doesn't mention QuickFit by name, it likely uses a standard strap system instead — check the model-specific spec sheet rather than assuming based on case size alone.
