Got a question? We are here to answer
This page covers the Suunto 9 Peak and 9 Peak Pro, both of which use a 22mm quick-release strap. Read the model name on your watch carefully: the 9 Peak and the plain Suunto 9 are two different watches with two different strap widths, and only the Peak version fits the straps sold here.
It's an easy mix-up because the names are so close. The Suunto 9 Peak and 9 Peak Pro use a slim case and a 22mm strap. The plain Suunto 9 and 9 Baro are older, chunkier watches that use a 24mm strap — two millimeters wider, and not interchangeable with anything on this page. If you're not sure which one you own, check the case: the 9 Peak has a noticeably slimmer profile than the standard 9. When in doubt, measure the width of your current strap before ordering.
The 9 Peak's strap uses the same spring-bar quick-release fitting found across Suunto's range — a small lever on the back of the pin releases the old strap, and the new one clicks straight into the lugs. See the full Suunto Watch Straps collection for straps that fit the Race, Vertical, 5 Peak, Ocean and Run as well.
A stock strap eventually wears at the spring-bar holes, and third-party straps give 9 Peak owners more style choice than the handful of options that ship with the watch.
The 9 Peak is Suunto's slim, everyday-adventure watch, so it works equally well with a rugged strap and a smarter one.
Because the 9 Peak's case reads slimmer than the standard 9, a lot of owners find a dressier strap suits it particularly well for non-training days.
Turn the watch over, push the small lever on the spring bar behind the current strap, and slide it free. Press the new strap's spring bar into the lugs until it clicks on both sides.
The swap takes under a minute and needs no tools.
First-time swaps are easiest with the watch resting face-down on a soft surface. If you're ever unsure which width to order, measure the gap between the lugs on the back of the case rather than guessing.
Rinse silicone and nylon straps after a workout or hike, then let them dry before reattaching. Wipe magnetic milanese and magnetic loop straps dry with a cloth instead of soaking them, since water can sit between the mesh links.
Store any strap you're not wearing flat and out of direct sunlight, since prolonged heat can dry out silicone and dull a milanese finish over time.
As covered above, name confusion is the biggest risk here — double-check before ordering:
