Fossil Neutra Gen 6 Hybrid Bands — What Fits

The Fossil Neutra Gen 6 Hybrid is a 44mm case on 22mm lugs. Fossil publishes both numbers on its own product pages — Case: 44MM, Strap: 22MM — and every band on this page is cut to that 22mm width. The Neutra Gen 6 Hybrid was sold as FTW7071, FTW7072, FTW7073 and FTW7074.

The Neutra is the clean, slim-bezel hybrid: mechanical hands over an always-on e-ink readout, rather than a colour touchscreen. If your watch has real hands and a low-power display in a 44mm case, this is the page you want.

Every band here is a quick-release, spring-bar design. Flip the small lever on the underside, slide the old band out of the lugs, and press the new one in until it clicks on both sides. No tools, about 10 seconds per side.

Fossil uses standard lug spacing, so these bands also fit classic, non-smart Fossil watches with 22mm lugs. Back to the full Fossil watch bands range if the Neutra is not your model.

“Gen 6 Hybrid” Is a Family Name, Not a Size

Fossil sold four different Gen 6 Hybrids and they use three different band widths between them. The generation name on the box tells you nothing about the width on its own — you have to match the specific model.

Notice that the Machine and the Wellness Edition Hybrid are both 45mm and still take different widths. Case size does not predict lug width at Fossil in either direction, so read the model name and the width together.

The Neutra Name Also Appears Outside the Gen 6 Hybrid Line

Fossil has used the Neutra name on more than one collection, including non-smart Neutra watches and earlier hybrids. This page is specifically the 44mm Neutra Gen 6 Hybrid on 22mm lugs.

If yours is a different Neutra, the safe move is to ignore the name entirely and measure the lug gap, or read the width stamped on the underside of the strap you already have. A name shared across collections is the least reliable thing to buy on.

Choosing a 22mm Band for the Neutra

Seven quick-release styles are stocked in 22mm, so the width does not limit your choice.

For training and sweat

Vornis Silicone Sport is the workhorse for workouts — sweat-friendly and quick to rinse clean. Mavric Braided Loop is the breathable, textile alternative if you would rather not wear silicone against the skin. Browse the wider silicone range for finishes.

For the office

Solin Magnetic Milanese gives the dressier mesh-metal look, with a magnetic clasp that micro-adjusts to the wrist and sits flat under a shirt cuff — a natural match for the Neutra's dressier case. See more in milanese.

For everyday wear

Véllo, Voren and Bravik are all single-piece nylon loops in slightly different weights, and Rovan Magnetic Silicone Sport is the lightest of the seven for all-day or overnight wear. More options in nylon.

Confirming Your Width Before You Order

Check which watch you actually own

The Neutra Gen 6 Hybrid is 44mm with an e-ink readout and mechanical hands. A colour touchscreen means you have a Wear OS Fossil instead. A 40mm case means the Carlie, and a 45mm case means the Machine or the Wellness Edition Hybrid — none of which are 22mm.

Read the width off the old band

Fossil usually stamps the width in millimetres on the underside of its own straps, near the buckle. That stamp is more reliable than any third-party sizing chart, including ours.

Measure the lug gap

With the band off, measure the gap between the lugs with a ruler or calipers. A Neutra Gen 6 Hybrid measures 22mm. Widths in this lineup are whole millimetres, so there is no in-between size. For the whole width, see all our 22mm quick-release bands.

Which Watches These Bands Do Not Fit

The other Gen 6 Hybrids

A 22mm band will not seat in the Carlie's 18mm lugs or the Wellness Edition Hybrid's 20mm lugs, and it is too narrow for the Machine's 24mm. Quick-release width is not adjustable — the spring bar has to match the lug gap exactly, so an adapter is not the answer here.

The smaller touchscreen Fossils

The touchscreen Fossil Gen 6 42mm and the Gen 5E 42mm both take 18mm bands, not 22mm and not the 20mm that several sizing charts claim. The touchscreen Fossil Gen 6 44mm does take 22mm, so those bands and these are interchangeable by width even though the watches are not.

Caring for Your Band

Rinse silicone and nylon bands under water after sweaty workouts and let them air dry fully before wearing again. Wipe the magnetic milanese and magnetic silicone styles with a soft, dry cloth rather than submerging them, and keep them away from other magnetic items when off the wrist. Check the spring bars now and then to make sure they are still seated firmly in the lugs, especially if you swap bands often.

Leather and textile bands last longest when they get a chance to dry out between wears, so rotating two bands is kinder to both than wearing one every day.
