COROS Apex 4 Straps — What Fits

This collection fits both sizes of the COROS Apex 4. The 42mm case takes a standard 22mm quick-release strap — the same width as the Apex 46mm/Pro and the Apex 2 Pro — while the larger 46mm case takes a 24mm quick-release strap. Both widths are sold here, so the only thing to get right is your case size.

If you're not certain which case size you have, check the width printed on your current strap or measure the gap between the lugs before ordering a replacement strap.

Straps here use a tool-free quick-release system: a small lever on the spring bar lets you free the pin from the lug by hand, so the old strap slides out and a new one clicks straight into place in seconds.

The 46mm Apex 4 and its 24mm strap

The 46mm case is the one that catches people out. COROS lists an APEX 4 (46) strap of its own, separate from the 42mm one, and it is 24mm rather than 22mm — two millimetres that a spring bar will not bridge. Nothing sized for the 42mm Apex 4 will seat in the 46mm lugs, and nothing sized for the 46mm will fit the 42mm. 24mm is also a far less common width than 22mm: the COROS Nomad, the Garmin Venu X1 and the Suunto 7, 9 and 9 Baro are the other watches that use it.

If you bought the watch second-hand, or cannot remember which size you ordered, do not go by how big it looks. Take the strap off and measure the gap between the lugs straight across: 22mm means the 42mm case, 24mm means the 46mm.

Strap Styles For The Apex 4 (42mm & 46mm)

Which styles you can choose from follows your case size, because the two Apex 4 sizes use different widths. The 42mm case takes 22mm straps, the width the full quick-release range is cut in. The 46mm case takes 24mm, a much less common width, where the Bravik nylon loop is the quick-release strap.

On the 42mm case, if you are not sure which material suits you best, the Vornis silicone sport strap is the safest all-rounder — comfortable enough for daily wear and tough enough for training.

  • Vornis silicone sport — sweat-resistant and easy to rinse; the default choice for training with the Apex 4.
  • Véllo nylon loop and Voren nylon loop — adjustable hook-and-loop styles for workouts.
  • Solin magnetic milanese — stainless mesh with a magnetic clasp for a dressier office look.
  • Mavric braided loop — a softer fabric alternative to milanese.
  • Rovan magnetic silicone sport — silicone with a magnetic closure; light enough for all-day and overnight wear.
  • Bravik nylon loop — the 24mm quick-release strap for the Apex 4 46mm; a woven loop that adjusts anywhere along its length.

Fitting A Strap To Your Apex 4

Find the small release lever on the underside of the strap near the spring bar, push it in, and angle the strap away from the case — it comes free without tools. Press the new strap's bars into the same lugs until both sides click into place.

Each style includes an adjustable clasp or a spare keeper loop to fit most adult wrists without trimming.

Caring For Your Apex 4 Strap

Rinse the Vornis silicone strap under water after sweaty sessions and let it air dry before wearing it again. Nylon and braided styles can be hand-washed with mild soap if they start to hold odor. Keep the magnetic clasp area on the Solin and Rovan straps free of metal dust so it keeps closing cleanly.

Store straps away from direct sunlight and extreme heat when not in use — prolonged UV exposure can cause silicone to stiffen slightly over time, and it can fade the color on nylon and braided styles.

Which Watches Don't Fit These Straps

Both Apex 4 sizes are covered here, but they do not share a strap. These are the widths to check before ordering:

  • The COROS Apex 4 42mm and the Apex 4 46mm do NOT share a strap: the 42mm case is 22mm and the 46mm case is 24mm. Both widths are on this page, so order by case size, not by model name.
  • The COROS Vertix 2 and Vertix 2S use 26mm straps; only the original 2019 COROS Vertix is 22mm, but takes quick-fit straps rather than the quick release sold here.
  • The COROS Nomad uses the same 24mm quick-release strap as the Apex 4 46mm, but it has its own page — see COROS Nomad straps.
  • The COROS Pace 2 and original Pace use 20mm — a different width from the Apex 4 42mm's 22mm.
