Quick Release Watch Bands — What Fits

Quick release bands use a spring bar with a small lever built in: pull the lever, the bar retracts, and the band lifts free of the lugs without tools. It's the same fitting watchmakers have used on standard watches for decades, built into smartwatch bands here in three widths — 22mm, 20mm and 18mm.

Those widths cover models from Huawei, Amazfit, COROS, Fossil, Skagen, Polar, Suunto, Withings, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Honor, TicWatch, Citizen and CMF by Nothing, grouped by brand below.

Because spring bars are a universal fitting rather than a smartwatch-only feature, every band on this page also fits any classic mechanical or quartz watch with the same lug width — a 22mm dress watch or an 18mm vintage field watch takes these exactly as a smartwatch does.

Six Band Styles for Every Width

All six band styles — Mavric braided loop, Solin magnetic milanese, Véllo nylon loop, Vornis silicone sport, Rovan magnetic loop and Voren nylon loop — are available in 22mm and 20mm. 18mm currently ships in the Rovan magnetic loop only, since most 18mm cases are compact hybrid and lifestyle models that a slim magnetic loop suits well.

• Vornis silicone sport — quick-dry and sweat-resistant, built for workouts and swimming.
• Mavric braided loop — breathable woven nylon that flexes with the wrist for daily wear.
• Solin magnetic milanese — stainless steel mesh with a magnetic clasp, suited to office and dressier settings.
• Rovan magnetic loop — a slim adjustable loop for quick on/off; the only style currently offered in 18mm.
• Véllo nylon loop and Voren nylon loop — soft, lightweight nylon that's comfortable to sleep in for overnight heart-rate and sleep tracking.

Swapping Bands in Seconds

To remove a band, find the small lever on the underside of the spring bar where the band meets the case, push it toward the center of the bar, and slide the band out of the lugs — no tools and no case-back access required.

To fit a new band, line up the spring bar with the lugs, press one end in, and let the other end click into place. The whole swap takes under ten seconds once you've done it once, so switching from a sport style before a workout to a milanese for the office is realistic to do daily.

Caring for Your Bands

Silicone (Vornis) rinses clean with water and mild soap and air-dries in minutes. Nylon loops (Véllo, Voren, Mavric) can be hand-washed the same way and laid flat to dry rather than wrung out, which helps them keep their shape.

Magnetic styles (Solin milanese, Rovan loop) should be wiped down with a dry or lightly damp cloth rather than submerged, to protect the clasp mechanism over time.

Which Watches Don't Fit These Widths

A few models look like they should match one of these widths but don't — check these before ordering:

• Huawei's entire Watch Fit line (Fit, Fit SE, Fit mini, Fit 2/3/4/4 Pro/5/5 Pro) uses proprietary connectors, and Watch D/D2 use blood-pressure cuff straps — no standard band fits either.
• Amazfit T-Rex 1, T-Rex Pro and T-Rex 2 use proprietary connectors; T-Rex Ultra uses screwed 22mm bars rather than quick release, and T-Rex Ultra 2 is 26mm — none of the three take a standard quick-release band.
• COROS Vertix 2 and Vertix 2S moved to 26mm bands (only the original Vertix stays at 22mm), and COROS Nomad plus Apex 4 46mm are 24mm.
• Suunto 9, 9 Baro and Suunto 7 are 24mm — only 9 Peak and 9 Peak Pro share the 22mm width with the rest of the Suunto lineup here.
• TicWatch Pro 5, Pro 5 Enduro and Atlas moved to 24mm, even though every earlier TicWatch Pro was 22mm.
• Fossil Gen 6 42mm and Gen 5E 42mm take 18mm, not the 20mm some sources list — don't confuse them with the 22mm touchscreen Gen 6 44mm or the 20mm Gen 6 Hybrid 45mm.
• Polar Vantage V2 and Pacer Pro need Polar's own wristband adapter and aren't recommended with standard bands; older Polar V800, M600, M430, M400, A360/A370 and Loop use proprietary bands entirely.
