Polar Ignite Bands — What Fits

The Polar Ignite, Ignite 2 and Ignite 3 all use the same 20mm quick-release lug width, so a single band size covers every generation of this watch since it launched in 2019. Whether you're on the original Ignite or the newest Ignite 3, these bands click straight in.

Like the rest of Polar's fitness lineup, the Ignite uses a quick-release spring bar. A small lever on the back of the bar lets you release the old band and click in a new one without tools.

See the full Polar Watch Bands collection for bands that fit the Vantage, Pacer, Grit X and Unite as well.

A stock band eventually wears at the spring-bar holes, and third-party bands give Ignite owners more style choice than the handful of options that ship with the watch — useful since the Ignite is often worn around the clock for both workouts and sleep tracking.

Style Guide for the Ignite

The Ignite is Polar's everyday fitness and sleep-tracking watch, so a lot of owners like a band that's comfortable enough to wear around the clock.

Because the Ignite doubles as a sleep tracker, a lot of owners keep a soft nylon option specifically for bedtime and switch to something sportier during the day.

  • Véllo nylon loop — soft, breathable, and low-profile enough to sleep in for overnight tracking.
  • Vornis silicone sport band — the go-to for workouts and sweaty sessions.
  • Mavric braided loop — a stretchy everyday band that's easy to pull on and off.
  • Rovan magnetic loop — adjusts instantly for a slightly looser fit overnight and a snugger one during the day.
  • Solin magnetic milanese — a dressier mesh option for the office.
  • Voren nylon loop — another woven nylon option with a more casual, travel-friendly look.

Fitting Your Ignite Band

Flip the watch over and find the spring bar holding the current band. Press the small lever, slide the band free, then press the new band's spring bar into the lugs until both sides click into place.

The whole change takes under a minute and doesn't need any tools, since you're only handling the band and spring bar rather than the watch case itself.

First-time swaps are easiest with the watch resting face-down on a soft surface. If you're ever unsure which width to order, measure the gap between the lugs on the back of the case rather than guessing.

Caring for Your Band

Silicone and nylon bands can be rinsed under water after a workout or overnight wear, then air-dried before you put the watch back on. Wipe magnetic milanese and magnetic loop bands with a dry cloth rather than soaking them, since water can sit inside the mesh links.

Store any band you're not wearing flat and out of direct sunlight, since prolonged heat can dry out silicone and dull a milanese finish over time. Rotating between two bands also gives each one time to air out fully between wears.

Which Watches Don't Fit These Bands

These 20mm bands are sized for the Ignite family specifically, so double-check your model before ordering if you own more than one Polar watch. A few other Polar watches need a different fit:

  • Polar's Vantage (M, M2, M3, V, V3) and Grit X (X, X Pro, X2, X2 Pro) watches use the wider 22mm width instead of the Ignite's 20mm.
  • The Vantage V2 and Pacer Pro need Polar's own wristband adapter regardless of width, so standard bands are not recommended for either.
  • Older Polar watches — the V800, M600, M430, M400, A360, A370 and Loop — use proprietary band systems and do not fit these bands either.
