Suunto 9 Peak Bands (incl. 9 Peak Pro)

These 22mm quick-release bands fit the Suunto 9 Peak and 9 Peak Pro only. The standard Suunto 9 and 9 Baro use a wider 24mm band and are not covered here.

Suunto 9 Peak Bands — What Fits

This page covers the Suunto 9 Peak and 9 Peak Pro, both of which use a 22mm quick-release band. Read the model name on your watch carefully: the 9 Peak and the plain Suunto 9 are two different watches with two different band widths, and only the Peak version fits the bands sold here.

It's an easy mix-up because the names are so close. The Suunto 9 Peak and 9 Peak Pro use a slim case and a 22mm band. The plain Suunto 9 and 9 Baro are older, chunkier watches that use a 24mm band — two millimeters wider, and not interchangeable with anything on this page. If you're not sure which one you own, check the case: the 9 Peak has a noticeably slimmer profile than the standard 9. When in doubt, measure the width of your current band before ordering.

The 9 Peak's band uses the same spring-bar quick-release fitting found across Suunto's range — a small lever on the back of the pin releases the old band, and the new one clicks straight into the lugs. See the full Suunto Watch Bands collection for bands that fit the Race, Vertical, 5 Peak, Ocean and Run as well.

A stock band eventually wears at the spring-bar holes, and third-party bands give 9 Peak owners more style choice than the handful of options that ship with the watch.

Style Guide for the 9 Peak

The 9 Peak is Suunto's slim, everyday-adventure watch, so it works equally well with a rugged band and a smarter one.

Because the 9 Peak's case reads slimmer than the standard 9, a lot of owners find a dressier band suits it particularly well for non-training days.

  • Vornis silicone sport band — sweat-resistant and light for training and hiking days.
  • Rovan magnetic loop — quick to adjust over a jacket sleeve or bare wrist.
  • Mavric braided loop — a stretch-fit everyday option.
  • Solin magnetic milanese — a fine mesh finish that suits the 9 Peak's slimmer case for office wear.
  • Véllo nylon loop — light and breathable for long days outside.
  • Voren nylon loop — a woven casual alternative.

Fitting Your 9 Peak Band

Turn the watch over, push the small lever on the spring bar behind the current band, and slide it free. Press the new band's spring bar into the lugs until it clicks on both sides.

The swap takes under a minute and needs no tools.

First-time swaps are easiest with the watch resting face-down on a soft surface. If you're ever unsure which width to order, measure the gap between the lugs on the back of the case rather than guessing.

Caring for Your Band

Rinse silicone and nylon bands after a workout or hike, then let them dry before reattaching. Wipe magnetic milanese and magnetic loop bands dry with a cloth instead of soaking them, since water can sit between the mesh links.

Store any band you're not wearing flat and out of direct sunlight, since prolonged heat can dry out silicone and dull a milanese finish over time.

Which Watches Don't Fit These Bands

As covered above, name confusion is the biggest risk here — double-check before ordering:

  • The plain Suunto 9 and 9 Baro are not covered by these bands. Both use a 24mm band, not the 22mm width sold on this page, even though the name looks almost identical to the 9 Peak.
  • The Suunto 7 is also 24mm and does not fit these bands.
  • The original Suunto 5 uses screw-attached, model-specific straps rather than quick-release bands, so it doesn't fit here either — only the 5 Peak takes a standard 22mm band.
  • Suunto's older lines — Spartan, Ambit, Core and Traverse — use 24mm or proprietary attachments and aren't compatible with these bands.
