Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Bands & Replacement Straps

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 bands are a category of their own. Announced on 22 July 2026 and on sale from 7 August, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 keeps the dedicated 34mm band connection Samsung introduced on the first Galaxy Watch Ultra — so the strap you buy for it is not the strap you buy for any other Galaxy Watch. This page collects every band we stock that actually locks into that connection.

The Ultra 2 ships in one case size, 47mm, so there is no size decision to make. Pick the material that suits how you use the watch and you are done. Right now that means silicone sport straps, a woven nylon loop and a stainless steel link bracelet — a deliberately small, verified range rather than a wall of listings that may or may not fit.

What Fits the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2

Everything on this page fits the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Nothing else in the Galaxy Watch line-up does, and that is not a hedge — it is Samsung's own position.

The 34mm dedicated connection, explained

Most smartwatches use a lug width: a 20mm or 22mm gap between the horns, spanned by a spring bar. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 does not work that way. Its band slots into a purpose-built 34mm connection moulded into the case, released by a button on the underside. Samsung's own wording is blunt: the Galaxy Watch Ultra can only be used with its dedicated bands, and the 34mm band connection width makes it incompatible with any previously released Galaxy Watch band.

Because 34mm is a connector spec and not a strap size, it is not something to shop by the way you would shop 20mm or 22mm. There is one fitting, and every band here has it.

Galaxy Watch Ultra and Ultra 2 bands are interchangeable

This is the one genuine cross-compatibility in the range. Samsung's accessory listings for the Ultra 2 name their compatible models as Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 — a closed pair. A band bought for the 2024 Ultra clicks straight into the Ultra 2, and the reverse is equally true. Samsung's own Ultra band lines, Marine, PeakForm and Trail, are sold on that same basis, each in a single S/M/L wrist size covering roughly 160–205mm.

Which Galaxy Watches These Bands Do Not Fit

Getting this wrong is the most expensive mistake in the Samsung range, so here it is stated plainly rather than softened.

Galaxy Watch 8, 8 Classic and Watch 9

These do not fit, and the reason trips people up. Samsung uses the name "Dynamic Lug System" as a family label, not as a single connector — it applies the term to the Ultra's 34mm fitting as well as to the one on the Watch 8. Samsung's own support material describes the Ultra as using a different dynamic lug system from the Watch 8's.

In other words, seeing "Dynamic Lug" on both spec sheets tells you nothing about compatibility. The Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and Watch 9 share one Dynamic Lug fitting with each other; the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Ultra 2 share a different, wider 34mm one. Galaxy Watch 7 and earlier, including the Galaxy Watch FE

Every Galaxy Watch from the Watch 4 through the Watch 7, plus the Galaxy Watch FE, uses a standard 20mm quick-release spring bar. Older large cases — Galaxy Watch 3 45mm, Galaxy Watch (2018) 46mm and the Gear S3 — use 22mm. None of those bands go anywhere near the Ultra 2's connection, and no Ultra 2 band will fit them.

There is no adapter sold by Samsung that bridges the gap. Third-party adapters exist for the newer round models but they add bulk, and we do not stock them. Owners of those watches should start from the Samsung Galaxy Watch bands hub, or from the Galaxy Watch FE bands page if that is the watch on your wrist.

Choosing Your Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Strap

With fit already settled, the only real decision is material. Here is what we currently stock for this connection and who each one suits.

Silicone sport bands

• Built for sweat and water — silicone wipes clean and does not hold odour after training.
• The natural choice for swimming, diving and anything where the watch gets wet.
• Sits flat against the skin, which keeps the heart-rate sensor reading consistently.

Nylon loop bands

• Woven nylon is light and breathable, so it stays comfortable on long days and long efforts.
• The loop closure adjusts continuously rather than in fixed holes, which helps when your wrist swells in heat or at altitude.
• A softer look than silicone if you wear the watch off the trail as well as on it.

Stainless steel link bracelets

• Turns a rugged titanium sports watch into something you can wear with a shirt.
• Heavier than silicone or nylon — worth knowing before you commit to it as an all-day band.
• Links can be removed to size the bracelet to your wrist.

Fitting, Sizing and Care

The Ultra 2 is a 47mm watch and a physically large one, so band comfort matters more than it does on a small case. A couple of practical notes before you buy.

How to change the band

Turn the watch face down on a soft surface. Press and hold the release button on the underside of the case where the band meets it, then slide the old band out of its slot. To fit the new one, line the connector up with the slot and push until it clicks. No spring-bar tool, no pins, no risk of scratching the case — the whole swap takes under a minute per side.

Aim for a band that sits snug enough that the sensor stays in contact with your skin but loose enough to slide a finger under. Too tight and readings suffer along with comfort; too loose and workout heart rate becomes unreliable. Samsung's own Ultra straps run one S/M/L size covering roughly 160–205mm of wrist, which is a useful benchmark for what this watch expects.

For care: rinse silicone in fresh water after salt water or heavy sweat and dry it before putting it back on. Nylon should be hand-washed in cool water and air-dried away from direct heat. Steel needs no more than an occasional wipe with a damp cloth. Whatever the material, clean the connector slots on the watch itself now and then — grit in the channel is the usual cause of a band that will not seat properly.
