FAQ

How do I pick the right size?

Choose your brand in the menu, then your watch model, then open any product. Each product page shows the exact size or width to buy for that model; if it’s one-size for your watch, we state it clearly.

Apple Watch: how do I pick the right band size?

Turn your Apple Watch over and read the number on the back (e.g., 38, 40, 41, 42, 44, 45, 49). Choose a band labeled with that same number—for example, if your watch says 45, pick the band that features 45; if it says 38, pick the band that features 38. That’s it—no extra measuring needed.

Garmin: do your bands work with QuickFit?

Yes. Our Garmin options are QuickFit-compatible and snap on/off exactly like Garmin’s own QuickFit—just choose the QuickFit version shown on the product page for your model. No tools, no spring-bar talk.

Install quick-release bands.

Seat one pin in the lug, slide the tiny lever to shorten the bar, seat the other side, then release and tug gently to confirm it’s locked. If it doesn’t sit flat, remove and try again—never force at an angle.

Attach Apple-style lugs.

Slide the lug straight into the groove until it stops cleanly. If it resists, flip the band and reinsert—Apple lugs are directional.

Magnetic/mesh bands feel loose?

Our magnets are intentionally strong to prevent slipping. Open the clasp, position it on a flat mesh section, set a snug (not tight) fit, and close firmly.

Band won’t click or feels insecure.

Check orientation, wipe away dust, and use the supplied pins/adapters. Reseat with straight pressure; if still unsure, contact us with a clear photo.

What are the bands made of?

We use 316L stainless steel, premium silicone/fluoroelastomer, nylon, and selected leathers. Each product page lists exact materials and finishes.

Water & sweat guidance.

Silicone and nylon are great for workouts and swimming; rinse and dry after salt/chlorine. Metal is splash-safe; wipe dry after heavy sweat. Keep leather dry.

Color durability.

Where used, PVD finishes are chosen for daily wear. Avoid abrasives and harsh chemicals; wipe with a microfiber to preserve the finish.

Skin sensitivity.

Most people tolerate 316L steel well, but if you’re nickel-sensitive, pick silicone or nylon. Keep skin and band clean and avoid over-tightening.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, and Canada. We may add more destinations later and will update this page when we do.

How long does processing take?

Processing is 1–2 business days (Mon–Fri, UK time; public holidays excluded). Orders placed by 14:00 UK time on business days are prioritized for same-day processing.

How long is delivery?

Tracked Standard is ~5–12 business days after dispatch for the UK, US, AU, and CA. You’ll see your estimate at checkout and in your confirmation email.

Do I get tracking?

Yes—tracking is provided for every order. We email your link when the parcel ships, and you can also track here.

How much is shipping?

Right now, shipping is free as a sitewide promotion shown at checkout. If this changes, the applicable fee will always be displayed before you pay.

Can I change my address after ordering?

Contact us immediately after checkout. Changes are only possible before dispatch; once a label is created or the parcel is in transit, we can’t alter the address.

My parcel is late, lost, or marked delivered but missing—what do I do?

If you’re beyond the 5–12 business-day window after dispatch, contact us and we’ll open a carrier investigation. For “delivered but not received,” check safe places and neighbors first; if you bought shipping insurance, we’ll reship immediately while the investigation runs.

Will I pay duties or VAT?

For deliveries to the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, and Canada, you will not pay VAT/GST or import duties—ever. If we later open shipping to additional countries, local import fees or taxes may apply under that country’s rules; if so, the carrier will notify you before delivery.

What’s your return window?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, and Canada.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Contact us at contact@nothingbutbands.com. We’ll confirm eligibility and send you the simple, step-by-step instructions plus the correct local return address—please wait for our authorization before sending anything. It’s a quick, straightforward process.

Who pays for return shipping?

For change-of-mind returns, the customer covers return postage. We recommend using a tracked service and keeping the tracking number, as it’s more reliable and helps us locate your parcel quickly if needed. Returns remain your responsibility until they reach us.

My item arrived damaged or defective—what now?

Tell us within 7 days of delivery with photos; we’ll quickly arrange a replacement or refund.

When will I get my refund?

Once your return is received and approved, refunds go back to your original payment method (usually 2-5 business days).

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes—every band is covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Magnets near devices and cards.

Our magnets are strong to keep clasps secure. Keep them away from magnetic-stripe cards and be mindful near compasses/precision tools.

Pacemakers/ICDs.

If you use a cardiac device, consult your clinician before wearing magnetic clasps and follow recommended separation distances. Non-magnetic options are available.

Children & small parts.

Bands and pins can include small components—keep out of reach of young children. Inspect pins/clasps periodically for secure seating.
