Amazfit Bip Bands — What Fits

The Bip line changed width partway through its history. The original Bip, Bip Lite, Bip S, Bip U and Bip 3 all use 20mm quick-release bands, while the newer Bip 5, Bip 5 Unity and Bip 6 moved up to 22mm. Check your generation before ordering Amazfit Bip straps, since the two widths are not interchangeable.

The Bip has been Amazfit's budget-friendly, long-battery-life line since 2018, and that long run is exactly why generation mix-ups are common — a Bip 3 and a Bip 6 can look similar at a glance but take different band widths entirely.

Every generation still uses the same spring-bar quick-release mechanism: push the lever on the back of the band, slide the old pin out of the lug, and press the new band's pin in until it clicks.

If you're not sure which Bip you own, check the model name printed in the watch's settings menu rather than guessing from the case alone — it's the fastest way to confirm which width you need before you order.

Why Getting the Width Right Matters

Because the Bip lineup spans two widths, ordering by memory instead of checking your exact model is the most common fitting mistake we see. A 20mm band simply won't seat in a 22mm lug's spring-bar channel, and forcing it risks damaging the pin rather than the watch — so it's worth a 30-second check before you buy.

The Bip's long production run across seven years is exactly what makes this worth double-checking, since older and newer generations can be easy to mix up by name alone.

Because these are third-party compatible bands rather than Amazfit's own single boxed strap, you get far more colors and materials to pick from than the one option in the box, without paying accessory-store prices for each additional style.

Band Styles for the Bip

All six of our quick-release styles are available in both Bip widths, so Amazfit Bip replacement bands cover everything from workouts to the office regardless of which generation you own.

  • Vornis silicone sport for training and swimming, since it sheds water instantly and rinses odor-free.
  • Véllo and Voren nylon loops for a lightweight, breathable everyday feel, especially if silicone runs too warm for you.
  • Mavric braided loop for a casual daily look with more texture than plain silicone.
  • Solin magnetic milanese for the office, where the metallic finish reads more formal.
  • Rovan magnetic loop for fast on-and-off wear on busy days.

Sizing and Swapping Your Bip Band

Confirm which Bip you own first: Bip, Bip Lite, Bip S, Bip U and Bip 3 all take 20mm, while Bip 5, Bip 5 Unity and Bip 6 take 22mm. Once you have the right width, the swap itself is quick.

If the spring-bar lever feels stiff on the first try, that's normal for a new band and eases after a couple of swaps.

  • Lay the watch face-down and find the spring-bar lever on the underside of the band.
  • Push the lever in and slide that end off the lug.
  • Repeat on the other side to remove the band completely.
  • Press the new band's spring bar into the lugs until it clicks on both sides.
  • Tug gently to confirm the band is fully seated before wearing it.

Caring for Your Bip Band

Each material holds up best with slightly different care.

  • Silicone — rinse after workouts with mild soap and let it air dry fully before the next wear; don't leave it balled up while damp.
  • Nylon — machine-wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag, then air dry rather than using a dryer, which can warp the weave.
  • Magnetic or milanese — wipe with a damp cloth rather than soaking, and dry the clasp before reattaching so moisture doesn't sit in the closure.

Which Watches Don't Fit These Bands

Beyond checking your own Bip generation for the right width, a few other Amazfit models don't work with any Bip band. These mix-ups are common enough that it's worth reading the full list even if you're confident in your model:

  • A 20mm Bip band does not fit a Bip 5, Bip 5 Unity or Bip 6, and a 22mm Bip band does not fit a Bip, Bip Lite, Bip S, Bip U or Bip 3 — the two groups are not interchangeable.
  • Amazfit T-Rex 1, T-Rex Pro and T-Rex 2 use proprietary connectors — standard bands, including these, do not fit. Only T-Rex 3 and T-Rex 3 Pro moved to the standard 22mm quick-release system.
  • T-Rex Ultra uses screwed 22mm bars rather than quick release, and T-Rex Ultra 2 is 26mm — neither works with the quick-release bands sold here.
  • Amazfit Verge and Verge Lite have bands built into the case, so they cannot take a replacement band at all.
  • Cheetah width depends on the exact model: round Cheetah, Cheetah Pro and Cheetah 2 Ultra are 22mm, but Cheetah Square and Cheetah 2 Pro are 20mm — the wrong width will not seat in the lugs.
  • Active Edge does not appear on Amazfit's official compatibility chart, so we do not recommend standard bands for it.
