Withings ScanWatch Bands — What Fits

The Withings ScanWatch line pairs an analog dial with a small hidden display for ECG, SpO2 and sleep data, and every generation covered here — original ScanWatch, ScanWatch 2, and the dive-styled Horizon — attaches its strap with a standard spring bar rather than a proprietary clip. That means any Withings ScanWatch band on this page swaps in without tools, in one of two widths depending on which case you own.

42mm ScanWatch, 42mm ScanWatch 2 and the 43mm Horizon all take a 20mm band. The smaller 38mm ScanWatch and 38mm ScanWatch 2 take 18mm instead. If you're not sure which case you have, the size is usually listed in the Withings app under device settings, or printed on the original box. This page covers ScanWatch specifically; for ScanWatch Light, ScanWatch Nova or Steel HR, see the wider Withings Watch Bands hub.

Which Band Style Suits a ScanWatch

ScanWatch's whole appeal is looking like a normal analog watch rather than a gadget, so the band matters as much as the dial. The 20mm case size takes silicone sport, nylon and braided loops, magnetic milanese and genuine leather; the 18mm case takes the Rovan and Jelli silicone sport bands and the Tressa magnetic braided loop.

Office and Everyday Elegance

The Solin magnetic milanese mesh suits ScanWatch's dressier look best, closing with a concealed magnet rather than a buckle so the line stays slim under a cuff. Solin is a 20mm band, so it fits the 42mm ScanWatch, 42mm ScanWatch 2 and 43mm Horizon; the 38mm cases take 18mm, where the Rovan sport band below, the Jelli silicone sport band and the Tressa magnetic braided loop fit.

Sport and Casual

On the 42mm/43mm case, the Mavric braided loop and Vornis silicone sport band handle workouts, wipe-clean days and rougher wear without looking out of place next to an analog dial. The Rovan magnetic silicone sport band belongs here too: flexible, lightweight silicone that shrugs off sweat and wipes clean, closed with a concealed magnetic clasp instead of a folding buckle. It is made in both widths, so it also fits the 38mm ScanWatch and 38mm ScanWatch 2 — an everyday and workout band rather than a dressy one.

Sleep and Overnight

ScanWatch tracks sleep stages and overnight SpO2, so a soft band matters after dark too. The Véllo and Voren nylon loop styles, both 20mm only, are light enough to sleep in without noticing the watch is there.

Sizing and Fitting a ScanWatch Band

Every band here uses the same quick-release spring bar as the strap that shipped with your ScanWatch. Press the small lever on the underside of the band, slide the old one out of the lugs, then slide the new band's pins in until it clicks into place on both sides — the whole swap takes under a minute with no tools beyond the band itself.

Match your case size before ordering: 20mm for 42mm ScanWatch, 42mm ScanWatch 2 and 43mm Horizon; 18mm for 38mm ScanWatch and 38mm ScanWatch 2. A band cut for the wrong width won't seat properly in the lugs. Browse the full 20mm watch bands or 18mm watch bands ranges for more style options in either width.

Which Watches Don't Fit

Every ScanWatch generation covered here — original, ScanWatch 2 and Horizon — takes a standard quick-release band in one of the two widths above, so there's no proprietary connector to worry about on this model line.

The trap is width, not compatibility: Withings sizes bands by case diameter, not by generation, so a 42mm ScanWatch 2 and a 38mm ScanWatch 2 need different widths despite sharing a name. The 43mm Horizon catches people out for the opposite reason: it has the largest case in the line, but it still takes a 20mm band, not 22mm — no Withings watch uses a 22mm strap. Always check the case size printed in your Withings app or original packaging rather than assuming by model name alone. If you also own a ScanWatch Nova, note that the 42mm Nova takes 20mm while the 39mm Nova Brilliant takes 18mm despite its larger case.

Looking for the ScanWatch Vitals? It is a separate watch with its own widths — 20mm on the 42mm case and 18mm on the 38mm — and its own page: Withings ScanWatch Vitals bands. That page covers the ScanWatch Healthmaster too, its European name.
