Amazfit GTR Bands — What Fits

Whether you're after an Amazfit GTR band, Amazfit GTR replacement bands, or just a spare Amazfit GTR strap for weekends, the width depends on your case size: the 47mm GTR and the GTR 2, 2e, 3, 3 Pro and 4 all take 22mm quick-release bands, while the smaller 42mm GTR and the GTR Mini take 20mm.

The GTR has stayed on the same round case shape and quick-release fitting since it launched in 2019, which is why a 22mm band bought for the original 47mm GTR still works on the newest GTR 4 without any adapter.

Every GTR uses the same spring-bar quick-release fitting, so no tool is needed. Push the lever on the back of the band, slide the old one off the lug, and click the new one into place.

If you're upgrading from an older GTR to a newer generation, there's usually no need to buy new bands at all as long as the case size — and therefore the width — hasn't changed. Only a jump between the 47mm and 42mm/Mini sizes means starting over with a different width.

Why the Right Band Matters on a GTR

The GTR tracks heart rate and sleep continuously, so a band that rubs or traps sweat is more than a comfort issue — it can affect sensor contact and is the main reason people skip wearing their tracker overnight. Keeping a sport band for training and a lighter loop for sleep solves both problems without touching the watch head.

This matters even more outdoors, where a loose band can shift the case slightly mid-run and interrupt the optical heart-rate reading for several seconds at a time.

Because these are third-party compatible bands rather than Amazfit's own single boxed strap, you get far more colors and materials to pick from than the one option in the box, without paying accessory-store prices for each additional style.

Band Styles for the GTR

All six of our quick-release styles come in both GTR widths, so you're not limited by case size when picking a look.

  • Vornis silicone sport for training and swimming, since it sheds water instantly and rinses odor-free.
  • Véllo and Voren nylon loops for lightweight, breathable all-day and overnight wear, especially if silicone runs too warm for you.
  • Mavric braided loop for a casual daily look that still feels a step dressier than plain sport silicone.
  • Solin magnetic milanese for the office, where the metallic finish reads more formal.
  • Rovan magnetic loop for fast on-and-off wear on days you're switching styles more than once.

Sizing and Swapping Your GTR Band

Confirm your case size first — a 47mm GTR face is noticeably larger than the 42mm or Mini, and a 22mm band will not seat correctly on a 20mm lug or vice versa. Once you have the right width, the swap itself only takes a few steps.

If the lever feels stiff the first time you try it, that's normal on a new band — it tends to loosen slightly after the first few swaps, so there's no need to force it.

  • Lay the GTR face-down and locate the spring-bar lever on the underside of the current band.
  • Push the lever in and slide that end of the band off the lug.
  • Repeat on the other side to free the band completely.
  • Align the new band's spring bar with the lugs and press until it clicks, then repeat on the other side.
  • Give both ends a gentle tug to make sure the band is fully seated before wearing it.

Caring for Your GTR Band

The right cleaning routine depends on the material, not just how sweaty your workout was.

  • Silicone — rinse after workouts with mild soap and let it air dry fully before the next wear; don't leave it balled up while damp.
  • Nylon — machine-wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag, then air dry rather than using a dryer, which can warp the weave.
  • Magnetic or milanese — wipe with a damp cloth rather than soaking, and dry the clasp before reattaching so moisture doesn't sit in the closure.

Which Watches Don't Fit These Bands

These are GTR-width bands, so a few other Amazfit models — some that sound similar — need something different. It's worth a quick check even if you're confident in your model, since a couple of these mix-ups are common:

  • Amazfit T-Rex 1, T-Rex Pro and T-Rex 2 use proprietary connectors — standard bands, including these, do not fit. Only T-Rex 3 and T-Rex 3 Pro moved to the standard 22mm quick-release system.
  • T-Rex Ultra uses screwed 22mm bars rather than quick release, and T-Rex Ultra 2 is 26mm — neither works with the quick-release bands sold here.
  • Amazfit Verge and Verge Lite have bands built into the case, so they cannot take a replacement band at all.
  • Cheetah Square and Cheetah 2 Pro are 20mm, not 22mm, while round Cheetah, Cheetah Pro and Cheetah 2 Ultra are 22mm — see our Amazfit Cheetah Bands page for the exact breakdown before ordering.
  • Active Edge does not appear on Amazfit's official compatibility chart, so we do not recommend standard bands for it.

Every style here ships fast and comes with easy returns, so trying a new color or material for your GTR is low risk. If you also own another Amazfit model, browse the full Amazfit watch bands lineup to find the right width for it too. Because every band uses the same tool-free quick-release fitting, there's no downside to keeping two or three styles on hand for whatever the week brings.
