For recreational scuba divers, technical divers, and freedivers alike, the Garmin Descent series represents the absolute pinnacle of wrist-worn dive computer technology. These devices are meticulously engineered to keep you safe beneath the surface while functioning as high-end smartwatches on land. However, the performance of your dive computer is inherently linked to how securely it is fastened to your wrist or wetsuit. Whether you are exploring a deep shipwreck, executing a drift dive along a vibrant reef, or simply logging your surface intervals at the resort, you need Garmin descent bands that deliver unwavering reliability, comfort, and style.
At Nothing But Bands, we have developed a comprehensive collection of replacement straps specifically crafted to meet the extreme demands of the underwater world while providing the sophisticated aesthetic required for everyday wear. From heavy-duty, saltwater-resistant silicone to elegant stainless steel, our bands are built for maximum security, precise fit, and uncompromising versatility.
To understand why a premium replacement strap is a critical piece of diving equipment, one must first appreciate the extraordinary capabilities of the Garmin Descent watch family. These are not merely waterproof watches; they are life-support monitoring systems that provide critical data in environments where precision is paramount.
Garmin has expanded the Descent family to accommodate every type of diver and wrist size. We meticulously categorize our bands to guarantee a flawless, secure fit for your specific generation and model. Our collection proudly accommodates the entire ecosystem:
The transition from the depths of the ocean to a post-dive dinner requires versatility. We have engineered our collection using three core materials to ensure there is a perfect match for your diving style, your wetsuit thickness, and your topside wardrobe.
For active underwater exploration, silicone is the undisputed champion of watch bands. It is the tactical workhorse designed to handle the harshest marine environments.
While silicone dominates underwater, our woven nylon bands offer the ultimate adaptive comfort for long travel days, liveaboard trips, and warm-weather surface intervals.
When the dive gear comes off and you head to the resort restaurant or back to the office, your Garmin Descent should transition from a rugged dive computer into a luxury timepiece. The Milanese loop accomplishes this effortlessly.
We are committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience for divers worldwide. We understand that your gear is an investment, which is why we offer unmatched guarantees to ensure you receive the perfect strap for your underwater adventures.
Scuba divers are inherent travelers, chasing the best reefs and wrecks across the globe. We proudly offer fast, reliable, and localized shipping to ensure your new band arrives before your next big dive trip. Our expedited global routing networks serve the following key regions seamlessly:
The Garmin Descent family utilizes the proprietary, ultra-secure QuickFit system. This mechanism allows you to snap bands on and off the watch's solid metal bars without the need for any tools. The size varies by model:
Simply select your specific watch model on our product pages, and we will send the exact QuickFit hardware required.
Our standard silicone and nylon bands offer generous sizing that accommodates most wrists and standard 3mm to 5mm wetsuits. The inherent stretch of the silicone and the infinite adjustability of the velcro nylon provide excellent over-the-suit fitment. However, for extremely thick 7mm cold-water suits or bulky drysuits, you may need to utilize a Garmin-specific extra-long extension strap (often provided with your original watch purchase) in conjunction with our standard bands.
Proper post-dive maintenance is crucial for the longevity of both your watch and your band. After every saltwater or chlorinated pool dive, you should immediately rinse your garmin descent bands thoroughly with fresh, warm water. This prevents the buildup of corrosive salt crystals or harsh chemicals. For silicone bands, mild soap can be used occasionally. For nylon bands, a thorough fresh water soak and air drying away from direct, intense heat is recommended. While our Milanese bands are high-grade stainless steel, we recommend swapping to a silicone band for actual diving to preserve the elegant finish of the metal mesh over time.
Our silicone and nylon bands contain no magnetic materials and will not interfere with your 3-axis compass or SubWave sonar capabilities in any way. Our Milanese bands feature a magnetic clasp; while the magnetic field is localized and generally safe for everyday smartwatch use, we advise dedicated divers to utilize our non-magnetic silicone or nylon bands during actual dives to ensure absolute, zero-interference precision from the digital compass.
